Hazel turns ONE

Considering Hazel wouldn't really know it was her birthday, we decided to have a low key celebration.  I actually worked most of the day, and Chris was at school, but we took her to the park, had a little photo shoot, then came home and let her eat cake and open presents!  I'm pretty sure she had a good day.

Hazel at 11 months

A few pictures from this month...

Chris took these pictures of Hazel eating the hand rail at church and they are hilarious.  I love them.

Chris gave me these plant holders for Christmas last year, and I finally got some succulents to put in them!  Aren't they pretty?

Run for the Roses

Chris did a project at school this semester on a town called Prentiss, which is about 50 miles away from Hattiesburg.  Towards the end of the semester there was a 5K in the town called "Run for the Roses," and Chris and a few of his classmates ran it.  I opted out, although I probably shouldn't have because all the ladies who run in the race get a rose at the finish line (hence the name).  Chris ended up getting 3rd place in his age bracket!  It was pretty fun to see a community event in such a small town.  On our way home, we stopped by a lake for a bit and got some of my favorite shots of our little Hazel Rue.

Easter

Hazel's first Easter.  She got a basket in her crib, had an Easter egg hunt at the church, and a picnic with friends.  All in all it was a pretty good day.

We also went to a festival that weekend, and the Easter bunny was there.  Hazel was not a fan.
