Birthday in Jackson
For my birthday this year, we drove up to Jackson and went to the Museum of Natural Science. The weather was beautiful, the museum was awesome, and afterwards we got tacos... my favorite. It was a pretty good day. Happy 29 to me.

Hazel at 10 months (February 2015)
Baby girl has definitely been fun now that she is moving around and showing her personality a little more. We love her to pieces!

Hazel at the park. She loves to swing. |
Baby girl always crawls under my desk while I'm working. |

Hazel has been getting into EVERYTHING now that she can move around on her own.
Crawling on the furniture in the foyer of the church. |
Hazel got up on her knees for the first time and then about 45 seconds later she stood up next to this box. |
Hazel will constantly get into drawers and grab remotes and cords, and totally ignore the giant piles of toys right next to her. |
Hazel learned how to plank
She is getting so big so fast!! But at the end of the day, when she falls asleep in my arms, she is still my little baby again... We love her so.

Valentines Day
Chris and I got to go on a real date this Valentine's Day... a rarity when you have a baby and live far away from family. My sweet friend offered to babysit while Chris and I went to dinner. Sure do love this guy.

Mardi Gras Parade in Hattiesburg
The South has a lot to offer that I have never experienced before... Mardi Gras is one of them! Hattiesburg has a really awesome, family friendly, Mardi Gras parade that we went to with a few people from church. Parades are pretty awesome in general, but this parade was especially fun because each of the floats would throw out TONS of beads, toys, candy, and other random stuff. We had to use an empty grocery bag for all our loot! The parade was right in the middle of Hazel's naptime so she was a little too tired to really enjoy herself, but we had a pretty good time.

We had walked to the parade and watched it on Hardy Street, in front of
USM, and when the parade ended we headed back home. By the time we got
to our apartment, the floats were driving past on our street headed back
to where the parade had started... and since all the floats had TONS of
extra stuff so they were tossing it out to Chris and Hazel and I as
they drove past. So we basically got 2 parades. One float even gave Hazel a GIANT Winnie the Pooh bear. Mardi Gras is one of my new favorite holidays.
